The UF Challenge

2007

As president of the IB (International Baccalaureate) Booster Club for Ridgeview High School, I heard constant panic about the University of Florida. Most of the students (or at least their parents) took on the rigorous IB program in an effort to win acceptance by UF. We had all heard in the several previous years that UF held the door open for IB graduates. Then suddenly, IB students were getting rejected by the elite school. I interviewed the Assistant Director of Admissions for UF and wrote this article to help students step up to the new challenge.
